If you can be comfortable for long periods of time, doing nothing, without feeling afraid of your emotions, without any mental monologue bogging you down, it means you have completed your spiritual journey; you are permanently centred in the NOW.

Most people are always running helter-skelter, trying to do things, in an attempt to escape uncomfortable feelings and thoughts. If you can be in the NOW without doing anything...it means you have overcome uncomfortable feelings. This is all its about. Rest of the things, like expanded intelligence, powers etc. are just a matter of time, for the person centred in the NOW.

If one lives in the NOW and does not dwell on the past or the future, life's magic, wonder and beauty becomes visible to him/her.

The following is a 90 minute talk on the 'Power of not knowing' by Eckhart Tolle.

The 'Power of not knowing' is what Mysticism is all about...enjoying the mystery called life.

The 'I want all the answers...I want it all, I want it now' attitude always leads a person into despair.

There is a long pause, soon after the music at the beginning.

This pause is deliberate. Pause, relax, allow the mind to fall silent, and prepare for what Tolle has to say.

The keywords are 'Relax, Pause, Take a deep breath, Spare a few minutes'.

It is not necessary to analyse what he says.

Do not try to understand it, just listen to it with a calm mind, and what he says will enter your 'silent knowing'. The 'silent wisdom' within you.
